Inconel alloy 601<\/strong> is a Nickel primarily based alloy with a very high Chromium content (approx. 25wt %) with an addition of Aluminium, built to protect against high temperatures oxidising atmospheres in the heating treatments for metals or materials. The most commonly used thermowell sheathing materials and oxygen injection pipes in the metal and also glass producing industries.
